"Hei!

SavaGear in the salty waters.
4.5lbs Tub Gurnard caught by Ryan Head
Jonas Berglind & 192 cm
Stefan Olsson on the Cutbait Herring in the new Glow colour - 203 cm!
Hi guys,The weekend is coming up, but we have a few saltwater reports for you before then.
One of them is a 4.5lbs Tub Gurnard caught by Ryan Head aboard the ship Shogun on Tuesday 14th of June. 'We were Bass Fishing, explains skipper Rob Thompson, 'on a Sandbank, 8 miles from the Famous Needles Lighthouse at the Western end of the Isle of Wight, when the fish took a 16cm Savage Gear Sandeel (Sandeel Colour). The Specimen size for our area is only 2lbs…making it a 225% fish (a gold medal fish by a mile). We released him or her to fight another day even though they taste great. This is the biggest Tub Gurnard I have seen in 33 years of angling', says the happy skipper.
Also in, is a report from the guys at Swedish guide service Fish4U, who assisted in catching this year's biggest halibut. It was caught the other day by Stefan Olsson on the Cutbait Herring in the new Glow colour, and it measured a whopping 203 centimeters! The monster fought valiantly, and the fight itself was a real battle of wills. When the fish was finally tired, it was secured along the boat, and Stefan then plunged himself into the water in his dry suit for a few quick pictures. Then the fish was released unharmed to roam the depths of the sea once again.
During the latest sunny summer days, the new Mama Rosa and Tequila Sunrise colours have also been leathal, and in general bright colours have worked really well, explains the guys at Fish4U.
Have a great weekend everyone, and keep the reports coming: info@savage-gear.com

Price 4 play and .....play it hard or softly.
Hi guys,
Some of you might already have heard the news, but here we go.
Savage Gear took home the prestigious Efttex Award for ‘Best New Soft Lure’ at this year’s Efttex Show in Amsterdam. The new 25cm 4Play Soft Lure won the award, and it was applauded for its superior design, detail and quality by the jury in this very hard to win category.
Aside from its extremely lively looks and movement, the 25cm Soft 4Play boasts an integrated inner-Kevlar mesh net, which protects the lure from being ripped apart – something that a lot of soft lures suffer severely under. Also, the Soft 4Play comes with a whole array of extremely innovative and thought-through accessories such as Offset Treble Hooks, Lip Sculls, Screw in Spinner Blades and Colorado Blades. All in all the Soft 25cm 4Play Lure (and the whole Soft 4Play lure range in general), represents a very versatile lure concept for the biggest salt- and freshwater predators out there.
Also worthy of mentioning is the 2nd place in the prestigious and very competitive ‘Best New Hard Lure’ taken by the Savage Gear Larvae55, which is a very spacy looking, 3-section dragon fly imitation. It was applauded for its fantastic and minute details as well as its radical design.
Have a great weekend everyone, and keep the catch reports coming: info@savage-gear.com

Sven & Switzerland
Hi Jan,
I took the chance yesterday to go fishing for a few hours in the late evening to enjoy the longest day of the year. I had visitors from Switzerland with me which normally fish from their bluewater sailingvessel. Calm water caused slow feeding mode from the cod. However, my guest finally succeeded getting his new PB cod on light tackle, beeing a 3 kg fish. However, the most beautiful fish was a little turbot which still enjoys living in our Baltic Sea...

Panama still got BIIIG tuna...
Greeting from the tropics !
.... BACK AT THE BANK AND THE ACTION FOR MOST BOATS HAD SLOWED DOWN. BUT NOT FOR TAMITHA AS SHE HOOKED INTO A BIG YELLOWFIN. AFTER BATTLING THE BIG TUNA FOR ABOUT 1/2 HOUR SHE PASSED THE ROD OF TO HUBBY TERRY. AT THE TIME OF THE PASS OFF HE DIDN'T KNOW HE WOULD STILL BE FIGHTING THE FISH AFTER ANOTHER TWO HOURS. THE YELLOWFIN WEIGHTED 230 LBS. BIG REEF DONKEYS WERE ALSO ON THE FISHING MENU THIS WEEK. CLAY CAUGHT AND RELEASED ONE THAT WAS IN THE 80 CLASS AND TAMITHA LANDED ANOTHER THAT WAS ESTIMATED TO WEIGH OVER 100 LBS.
75 YEAR OLD BUD CAUGHT A 96 LB GOLIATH GROUPER THIS WEEK. THIS IS AN UNUSUAL CATCH FOR HERE. ROOSTERFISH WERE CAUGHT IN THE PARIDAS ISLANDS THIS WEEK. SEVERAL BIG CUBERA SNAPPERS WERE TAKEN IN THE VARIOUS ISLANDS.
WE HAD SOME OUTSTANDING CATCHES THIS WEEK. BUT THE YELLOWFIN TUNA BITE IS FALLING OFF WHICH IS NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. JICARON AND JICARITA ISLAND PROVIDE A GREAT DAY OF FISHING FOR CAPTAIN TOMMY'S ANGLERS. WE HAD GOOD FISHING WEATHER THIS WEEK WITH NOT TOO MUCH RAIN AND VERY LITTLE WIND. BUT EVEN THOUGH EVERYONE FISHED HARD AND CAUGHT FISH, FISHING WAS SLOWER THAN NORMAL THIS WEEK. THANK YOU TO ALL OF THIS WEEKS ANGLERS FOR FISHING WITH PESCA PANAMA.
TIGHT LINES,
CAPTAIN JAY GUSTIN
