RIO Powerflex Braid
RIO Products, the world famous fly line manufacturing company, are turning things up-side-down. For the Scandinavian market they are proud to launch a brand new braided line - made and designed for the specific demands of spin fishing.
To produce the very finest fly line, the highest quality core material must be used. Breaking strength, diameter consistency and abrasion resistance are vitally important, and when it comes to adding the fly line coating to the core, any fiber sticking out from the braided core will create a bad and useless fly line. The technical department at RIO constantly tests out new materials; hunting for the very best in braiding materials, quality and tolerance.
One of the newest and most radically advanced materials discovered by the research team has all the attributes of the perfect line for spin fishing.
RIO Powerflex Braid is a braided line that offers extreme casting distance and control, and features an amazing breaking strength to diameter ratio. A unique polysiloxane-sealing process is combined with pure Dyneema fibers and an engineer-designed EBT (Enhanced Braiding Tolerance) braiding process takes particular account of the relationship between parallel fibers superior strength and braided fibers positive attributes. These are the main ingredients behind a line that behaves perfectly no matter how far you cast. Not only does this unique fiber and braiding process give an incredibly strong material, it also makes it incredibly tough, and offers abrasion resistance second to none.
