Danish anglers Søren Larsen and his buddy John drove their boat to the Southern part of Sealand this weekend for a whole day of trolling for salmon. They have both become great fans of the Savage Gear Herring Spoons and new Flat Jacks, and once again they proved to create great results.
The first fish of the day went for a Herring Spoon in the colour YG Silver. Unfortunately it fell off seconds before being nettet - a fish in the 10 kilo+ range.
Oh well, the two companions soldiered on, and their patience was awarded. First, Søren landed a beautiful chrome 5 kilo salmon, and next up was John. He finished the day off by landing a massive 12,4 kilo fish, which completely hammered the Lemon Back-coloured Flat Jack. What a beauty!
With its erratic and unpredictably kicking action, the Flat Jack has fast become a favourite among trolling fishermen.
It comes in two different sizes; 11 and 13,5cm, and in six different colours that have proven deadly for salmon and seatrout.
Spring is finally here, and the gallery at www.savage-gear.com is teeming with new catches. Pay the site a visit.
Oh, and keep the reports and pictures coming (info@savage-gear.com), we appreciate it very much. Thanks!"
