"Hi Jan

Good to hear about you!

Russia was good - not as much fish as last year when you went, but almost. Water temperature was 24, so the key was to find the 10-12 degree water in 30-40 feet. We gfound it fish started to come. More bigger fish (but no really big ones) this year. Some days shit-loads of pike-perch (nice fat 2.5-4.5 kg fish - boring to drill) and even pikes (I think we got 5 or so!). Temepratures +30 - I did not use long trousers or jacket expect in one thunder storm. Really bad one. The storm was moving with speed of 50.2 knots and took by surprise. One boat lost all gear - riggers, planer boards, or lines... It was fun.

Same ships, same people more or less - nice! Our trip was nice, but this time the weather just was awsome.

Nice fish there in Norway. I hope you did not sleep with them!

BR Juha Merilä
