Big Cod from Norway and Salmon -Simrishamn.

"Hi Folks,

The fishing in Northern Norway has really picked up lately. Brian Ahlers, who is a guide from Norway Guide Fishing, has been busy the last week, and he has enjoyed some extremely good fishing with lots of massive fish onboard his boat. The conditions have been bitterly cold, and the fishing hasn't been downright easy. The fish have been there in massive numbers, but they don't hit just any lure. Having experimented a lot, Brian has found out that the most effective lure right now is the Herring Cutbait, and it has delivered some great catches with a whopping 29,6 kilo monster on top.

The 29,6 kilo fish was caught by Danish fisherman Thomas, and while his two companions Hans and Rene didn't manage to catch cod quite that big, they did land several massive 15 kilo+ fish with a few topping the 20 kilo mark. Very impressive in deed.Brian is this year guiding for http://www.norwayguidefishing.dk/ - you can contact them and book the fishing trip of a lifetime!!

Check out the saltwater gallery at www.savage-gear.com for more Herring Cutbait catches. Here you'll also find a very nice chrome 12,6 kilo salmon caught by Lars Post on a Flat Jack while trolling Simrishamn.

Keep the pictures and reports coming, whether it’s big Pike or any other great predator fish - we cannot get enough! info@savage-gear.com"
